Zorba in the 21st Century is an umbrella event of the 2020 Greek Festival of Sydney, comprising the launch of a collective volume with contributions by members of the Society, and a music component with songs inspired by Nikos Kazantzakis’ work and performed by solo pianist/singer Anna Papoulia.

The Society has been active in Sydney for 20 years (2000-2020) and is celebrating this anniversary with the publication of the bilingual collective volume 20 Years with Nikos, edited by Dr Vassilis Adrahtas and featuring the work of Dr Zdenko Zlatar, Dr Walter Lalich, Dr Alfred Vincent, Adrian Kazas, and Georges Stassinakis, (founder of the Society in Geneva). Join in a discussion about the relevance of N. Kazantzakis in the 21st century, and at the same time allow yourself to be carried away by some amazing Modern Greek music.
