Assassinations: The Collected Stories of Renate Yates

To be launched by Australian film director Bruce Beresford 

Two highly-acclaimed Australians, film director Bruce Beresford and author Renate Yates, will share the stage at Gleebooks in Sydney on Friday December 8.
Beresford, director of Breaker Morant, Puberty Blues, Driving Miss Daisy, and other renowned films, will launch Renate Yates’ new book of short stories, Assassinations.
Beresford, an old friend of Renate’s, is taking a break from shooting The Ladies in Black to launch her book. Renate Yates’ stories are admired for their exploration of people’s foibles, frailties and fetishes.
Published by the Svengali Press and ETT Imprint, Assassinations includes many new stories, and others which have been published in leading literary journals.
Renate Yates is also the author of three novels and the translation of By Train to Dachau, an account written by her father Ernst Raubitschek of his journey to and imprisonment in Dachau Concentration camp.
